The eighteenth Affordable Art Fair is coming to Battersea, with showcases from three of London’s most exciting and innovative artists. The fair has helped to revolutionise the art world with prices starting from £100, to encourage non-seasoned collectors.

The artists featuring their work on a central stage include recent graduate from Camberwell Art College, Dionne Cole, who specialises in meticulously detailed and beautiful paper sculptures inspired by Caribbean oceans and corals.

There’s also showcases from award-winning visual artist James Burke who recently produced a major 30ft installation for Amazon UK’s headquarters and abstract artist Robert Dunt, who creates alt-rock classics reimagined as explosions of colour.

For the first time, the Affordable Art Fair is partnering with Becca Pelly-Fry, curator at West London culture hub Elephant West. Pelly-Fry is curating an innovative collection of works from a range of artists which will be on sale throughout the fair. Often displaying works from recent grads and Turner nominated artists, her collection is an opportunity to invest in the next big thing in the art world. Pelly-Fry said “the artists together will offer some new perspectives for the visiting audience to the fair, with elements of interactivity and lots of colour.”

As well as browsing the art there’s also a packed programme of events and talks including workshops on bespoke bouquet making from florists Bloom & Wild, colour art therapy workshops, print making showcases with pop up Print Village and street food provided by Feast It.

There’s also opportunities to brighten up your walls whilst supporting the official charity partner of The Affordable Art Fair, NSPCC who are hosting a collection of donated paintings and sculptures for sale with all proceeds going to the charity.

Whether you’re an art aficionado or taking the plunge with your first piece, gallerist and art dealers are on hand to talk you through the different artists’ work and help you choose your new masterpiece.

The Affordable Art Fair runs from March 7-10 at Battersea Evolution, Battersea Park, SW8 4NW. Admission: £10-£25, children under 16 are free.
