Two new Shakespeare productions from two different theatre companies are coming to The Rose Playhouse.

After breaking new ground with their award-winning Richard III (A One Woman Show), Brite Theater are once again reinventing Shakespearean performance with their new adaptation of Hamlet directed by Kolbrun Bjort Sigfusdottir. Emily Carding plays Hamlet and you, the audience, are the players arriving at Elsinore. Hamlet needs your help to take on the roles of his friends and family and resolve the great questions of life. Journey through the play together and become immersed in the story like never before.

Hamlet: Friday 12th & Saturday 13th October at 7.30pm. Admission: £10 full/£8 concession.1 hour

This Romeo & Juliet is created by combining cinematic film from award-winning Alisdair Livingstone (Director of Photography of BBC’s Blue Planet: Plastic Special) with bold theatricality, evocative music and a dynamic glowing set, while two performers play out Shakespeare’s most famous tale as you’ve never seen it before!

In a strange, uncertain place beyond the end of the story, two star crossed lovers try desperately to reach each other, seeking answers for their short-lived life. Together, they explore their brief time together, and discover that memory is much kinder than reality.

Romeo & Juliet: Thursday 25th – Sunday 28th October. Times: Thursday – Saturday 7.30pm, Sunday 2.30pm.  Admission: £15 full/£12.  Phone: 020 7261 9565
