Commuters and starch aficionados rejoice: a night of entertainment and art based on the humble potato is coming to London’s river boats on the evening of July 7.
The Secret Life of the Potato is an art exhibit by Bompas & Parr, Bermondsey-based designers who use food to create art. For the night, a MBNA Thames Clippers will be hosting a waterborne sports bar, starchy snacks, and potato video art.
The art exhibit is part of Art Night, London’s largest – and free – contemporary arts festival.
The party-boat will be running on a 30 minute loop from 7pm-4am, stopping at London Eye Pier (Waterloo), St George Wharf Pier (Vauxhall), and Battersea Power Station Pier.
Those with Oyster cards can travel between the Art Night exhibits for £5.60 (single fare).
