A new exhibition will offer a glimpse deep into space with some out of this world photographs from the world’s best astrophotographers, writes Hannah Kanik…
The National Maritime Museum will be celebrating the last 10 years of excellent astrophotographers, who take pictures of the cosmos, shedding light to the darkest corners of the universe, around the world and their own depictions of the cosmos through the Insight Investment Astronomy Photographer of the Year exhibition.
The exhibition will display all the winning pictures from 2018 from 24 October until 5 May of 2019.
This year, there are 31 winning images on display alongside 69 photographs from previous years. There are nine categories for winning images, as well as two special prize winners on display.
The Royal Museum Greenwich organised the event in association with Insight Investment and BBC Sky at Night Magazine.
Tickets are £10 for adults, £6.65 for students and £6.50 for children and can be purchased online at www.rmg.co.uk.
