Chocolate making workshops

Join Brixton’s Chocolate Museum and learn how to make truffles, fudge, lollies, as well as shape ganache and temper chocolate during family workshops. At the end, each participant can take home a bag of their creations. Wednesdays and Fridays in August. 11:00am, £12 per person.

Art in the Garden

Every Wednesday Afternoon during August, join Dulwich Picture Gallery for Art in the Garden sessions. Topics will include making baskets for strawberries, mini windmills, ice cream that doesn’t melt, origami crabs, and mini seaside huts. 2pm-4pm, ages 4-12 years, £3 per child.

Peter Pan Summer Take Over

The Golden Hinde will be transformed into Neverland from August 12-22 (with the exclusion of Friday, the 17th), and visitors can meet their favourite characters from the story. There will be performances, storytelling, and crafts. £5 tickets, some activities cost an addition £5. 10:30am-4:15pm.

Jeppe Hein’s Appearing Rooms Fountain

An interactive sculpture created Jeppe Hein, a Danish artist, is coming to Southbank Centre until September 9. The fountain is arranged like a foursquare grid, and jets of water shooting up in the air creates rooms that quickly disappear and reappear. Free. Visitors may get wet.

Honey I found the bees

The Brockwell Park Community Greenhouses are partnering with the London Beekeeping Association this summer for an event where visitors can learn about bees, do a honey tasting, and help beekeepers with the honey harvest. Multiple times, August 6-7. £5 per child, £2.50 for low income. Ages 4 and over.

Celebrating Disney’s Fantasia

The tunnels under Waterloo Station have been transformed into a theatrical production of Disney’s Fantasia. Until September, The Vaults are hosting the immersive concert and interactive headphones allow the visitors to determine their own experience. Tickets start at £33 for adults, and £23.50 for children.
