Summon your inner pirate and step aboard the Golden Hinde for three hours of craft rum tasting, as part of London Rum Week.
The replica of Sir Francis Drake’s ship, moored at London Bridge, is the perfect venue for showcasing at least 15 bespoke craft rums from independent producers and bottlers from across the globe. This is an event for connoisseurs and beginners alike.
Learn the stories of the distiller, the distillery, the terroir, the sugar cane and the techniques that have been used to result in the exquisite liquid that ends up in the bottle. Meet the master blender who handpicked single barrels from around the Caribbean and bottled rum that, once consumed, will never be produced again. Taste the rum from the family run sugar cane field in South Africa that’s torched and cultivated to produce incredible rums that are oak aged using charred batons in giant glass jars.
Craft Rum Tasting on The Golden Hinde is on 18 October from 6.30pm-9.30pm. Tickets are £30 online + booking fee. Purchase online. Phone: 0207 403 0123.
