The tenth STREATHAM FOOD FESTIVAL is set to spice up the streets.

Celebrating a decade of events, the festival is back with a bang, with a four-day celebration of the fabulous food on offer in Streatham. The event shines a spotlight on the amazing restaurants, cafes and bars at the heart of the community and encourages residents and visitors to try new places.

This year’s festival features two key events:

The Streatham Food Tour, the best-known event of the festival, is back for 2019, packed full of returning favourites and some brand-new openings. With cuisines ranging from British to Thai, Mexican to Venezuelan there is even more mouth-watering food on offer than ever this year. The Streatham Food Tour offers the chance to take a culinary tour of the world, on one high road.

Around 40 restaurants will offer mini plates allowing visitors to taste a range of cuisines as they visit some of the best eateries Streatham has on offer, scoring them as they go. Participating restaurants include Café Barcelona, Saigon Bistro, Vegan Express, Talay Thai, Pratts and Payne, Blackbird Bakery, The Mere Scribbler, Batch & Co, Fish Tale and many more.

The Streatham Food Fair on Streatham Green brings together some of the best local food traders, music and entertainment on Saturday 22 June. The family friendly day, running from 12- 7pm, is a foodie paradise. With confirmed stalls including Wren Cakes, Chocolates by Eloise, Fish Tale, Surrey Ices, Bun Kabab and local businesses Streatham Wine House and Chalkpit, there will be a wide range of food and drink on offer while face painters and music keep the whole family entertained.

The programme will also be packed with food related events around Streatham over the four days it runs. For the full programme visit:

The Streatham Food Festival is funded by InStreatham BID, a not for profit company created by local businesses, for local businesses. Louise Abbotts, BID Manager, said “It’s an event all of us in Streatham look forward to… Food in Streatham goes from strength to strength, and we have one of the most exciting restaurant scenes in the capital. The Streatham Food Tour gives us the opportunity to show off both well-established venues and exciting new openings to both residents and visitors to the area.”
