Around 400 of the world’s top tattoo artists will converge on Tobacco Dock in September for the fourteenth annual London Tattoo Convention.

Artists have the chance to submit their work to daily tattoo competitions, which will be judged by a panel that includes Mark Mahoney, one of the fathers of fine line, black and grey tattooing.

Mahoney is well known for his clientele, which includes David Beckham, Johnny Depp, and Rihanna.

Besides tattooing, there will also be the world premiere of the movie Mamma Vita Mia, a documentary which examines the tattoo culture in Naples, and what led to the city being one of the most heavily tattooed in the world.

There will also be live music, such as King Kurt, Neck, and The Groundhogs, as well as art exhibitions with paintings, guitars, and skateboards.

The convention will have craft beverages and food stalls, and there will be merchandise stands as well.

“We have 400 of the most sought-after tattooists in the world under one roof for a weekend,” stated Marcus Berriman, the co-founder of The Tattoo Collective.

“These include some first timers such as Ryan Ashley Malarkey who appears on Ink Master Angels, as well as award winning regulars like realism artists Jak Connolly, Steve Butcher and Sam Barber, known collectively as The Rat Pack.

“Mark Mahoney will be joining us to judge the competitions – it is going to  be a cracking weekend with fantastic live entertainment and art too”
