Vintage fashion boutique Make Do And Mend are certainly not just making do – the popular store is opening up in larger premises in Pop Brixton this week.
Visitors to the opening day this Good Friday can even enjoy a free glass of bubbles and an Easter cupcake.
The larger premises will allow them accommodate even more unique, handpicked vintage for men and women.
Bargain-hunting customers can look forward to a 20 per cent discount in store all weekend (Friday – Monday) on vintage clothing and jewellery, but note some selected lines won’t be included.
As well as a glass of bubbles, there will also be a host of free giveaways to look forward to, including limited edition MDAM totes, Easter eggs and goody bags.
The new boutique will stock a range of new designs from remade and vintage inspired labels such as Beyond Retro, Collectif and Blue Rinse, while an alteration service will also operate out of the new space.
Their regular vintage kilo sale will continue to run on a monthly basis, with the next one scheduled for May 13-14 between 11am-5pm.
“Having opened Make Do and Mend here at Pop Brixton two years ago, we are so excited to be moving into a bigger space,” owner Sarah Bennett told the Weekender. “We will be bringing our customers an amazing new shop full of fantastic vintage clothing plus new lines of remade and vintage inspired pieces which we think you will love. If you are in Brixton this Easter weekend make sure you come and check us out!”
The new store will open at 11am on Friday April 14.
