Stranger than Paradise is all hyped up for a Halloween special at the Hootananny with headliner Freak Fandango, a Barcelona-based Balkan band performing songs from their new album Lost Songs of Fake Unicorns.

A live DJ extravaganza that has to be seen to be believed is clown-costumed accordion player Ed Cox and E-Coli bringing their Balkan party music from Bristol. Over the past decade they made their name as solo artists and wowed audiences all over Europe and Russia; together they are simply electric.

Darkstar Dance company is performing gothic voodoo tribal belly dance, while DJ Sacha Dieu and Ms Manray do their Balkan gypsy and electro swing thing, and special guest DJ Gadjo CZ returns from the Czech Republic.

Saturday 27 October at 9pm until 3am at the Hootananny, 95 Effra Road, SW2 1DF. Admission: free before 10pm, £7 after.
