HEALTH CONFERENCE FOR OVER 50s

The Royal Greenwich Pensioners Forum is holding a health conference at Charlton House on June 19 (10am-4pm). Speakers are delivering talks on the topics of dementia, hearing loss, and staying connected through the journey of life. It’s aimed at over 50s but everyone is welcome. I’LL BE BACH

Get a side of culture on your lunch-break at Baroque flautist Boris Bizjak’s recital, featuring a programme including Bach and Telemann. The performances at the Old Bakehouse include J.S. Bach’s Flute Partita in A minor, C.P.E Bach’s Sonata in A minor and Telemann’s Fantasy No.7 in D major.  June 8 at 1pm. Admission: free (with donation to Blackheath Halls). SUMMER AT THE FARM

Meet the animals at Woodlands Farm and buy quality local produce at reasonable prices, including home-made preserves, cakes and honey. Try the new tractor drawn rides, relax in the cafe to live music by ‘Arry and the ‘Atstands, get involved in craft activities and games, and enjoy displays of country crafts. IN MEMORY

Eltham Crematorium is holding a remembrance service to commemorate those whose funerals have taken place in the year and beyond. The service is held in the North Chapel at 2pm and lasts for about 45 minutes. At 1.30pm, there will be a short organ recital. Visitors are invited to make requests for music that is especially meaningful to them. The service is conducted by local ministers and officiants and they cater for all faiths and beliefs. It is attended by the mayors of the Royal Borough of Greenwich, Bexley and Dartford. Eltham Crematorium, Crown Woods Way, SE9 2AZ. Admission: free.
