Southeast London’s longest running festival – Lewisham People’s Day – has a lineup of hundreds of performances across seven stages, as well as food, drink, and art on the schedule.

People’s Day is free, and it will take place in Catford’s Mountsfield Park on July 7, from noon until 8pm.

The community festival is in its 34th year and is expected to draw 25,000 visitors. This year, the two main headliners, ESKA and Chainska Brassika, are both from Lewisham.

Other acts include Unit 137, a Lewisham-based music collective, celebrating the history of sound system culture, and Millwall Football Club is hosting have-a-go sessions.

There will also be a craft market, a sports arena, as well as comedy and cabaret performances scheduled throughout the day.
