The Mike King Collective (MKC) is an innovative London based soul, jazz, gospel and R&B vocal group whose energy, rich harmonies and uplifting performances have inspired audiences across the UK.
MKC has recorded for the BBC, performed live on Channel 4, sold out Edinburgh Fringe and worked with some of the music industry’s biggest names, including Mark Ronson, Florence + the Machine, Lily Allen and GRAMMY® world music artist Angelique Kidjo who says, “Talented, passionate and versatile…. MKC sing from the heart.”
But now MKC step back into the spotlight to bring a new, exciting and captivating show, which they will be previewing in Peckham before taking it up to Edinburgh.
The quality of MKC’s performance is reflected in the audiences they have been asked to entertain. Guests have included dignitaries such as the Prime Minister of Barbados, the Chair and Trustees of the Royal Festival Hall, celebrities at the British Dyslexia Awards and Premiership footballers at the PFA Awards.
MKC’s versatile repertoire includes original arrangements of songs from artists such as Beyoncé, Bob Marley, Rihanna, Stevie Wonder, London Grammar, Jacob Banks and John Legend as well as traditional gospel and jazz classics.
