A white cat was rescued by by firefighters tackling a blaze in Clapham South in the early hours of Monday, January 28.
Twenty-five firefighters and four engines arrived at the house on King’s Avenue after they were called at 2.16am.
It took three hours to bring the fire, believed to have been caused by an accident, under control.
Three women and a man had been able to leave the building before the Brigade arrived, but a cat was left trapped inside.
Parts of the first and second floors of the home have been left damaged, but the fire was prevented from spreading to the roof.
