Royal Museums Greenwich is hosting its first literature festival in the National Maritime Museum, writes Hannah Kanik…

It will be pioneering a weekend full of talks, performances and workshops with authentic adventurers, authors and screenwriters all centred on the theme: adventure.

The free weekend is available to all ages and invites, Attendees will learn more about how stories are crafted from Shakespeare to screenplays.

Speakers range from animators to bestselling authors to noted academics and adventurers.

Tamara the Time Traveller will enchant children with her storytelling abilities all weekend.

The free weekend ranges from 17 and 18 of November from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the National Maritime Museum. All ages are encouraged to attend.

For more enchanting experiences, attend the Stories in the Dark event for an after-hours, torch-lit literary experience on 16 November. You can also wander through the museum while experiencing the wonder of adult storytelling. The event starts at 11 a.m. and ends at 4:30 p.m.

Stories in the Dark is catered towards adults only and tickets to the event can be purchased for £14.
