The Brunel Museum in Rotherhithe stands as a tribute to the great engineers Marc and Isambard Kingdom Brunel.
It is located next to the Thames Tunnel, the first tunnel to successfully run beneath the River Thames, that connects Rotherhithe with Wapping, and was young Isambard’s first project at the age of nineteen.
The Museum is a work of charity, run by local volunteers with a passion for the area’s rich history.
Tours are regularly hosted for individuals, tourists and even school trips, with big events being thrown on special occasions. Entry into the Museum is free for children, with adult tickets capping at £3.
