A piece of British history, the HMS Belfast is one of just three vessels of the D-Day bombardment fleet that remain serviceable.
As the flagship of Force E, it played a key role in the battle that brought the Second World War to a close, not only taking part of the fighting but also treating injured soldiers when the ship was out of range of enemy fire.
Today, the Imperial War Museum keeps the HMS Belfast moored along the Southbank and welcomes the public to explore the ship and learn about its crucial story first hand.
