Everything sold at Jekkah are sourced, designed and manufactured in the Gambia. The business fuels the local economy by providing work for skilled tailors in sub-Sarahan Africa.
The name ‘Jekkah’ comes from the Wolof language, in which it means to be well dressed and beautiful. The Pop Brixton shop is one of two in London, with a sister location in Camden Market.
The clothes are made of 100% cotton African Wax Print are designed to be casual streetwear inspired by the colour and patterns of Africa.
A percentage of profits from online sales go to the ERASE Foundation, supporting communities in the Gambia.
