Tannery Arts was launched in 1993 as an effort to encourage the general public to engage with contemporary art.
It supports the development of emerging artists through providing affordable studio space as well as offering space in the Drawing Room gallery for them to host exhibitions and events.
The programme is designed to make contemporary art accessible to a broad and diverse audience and to promote it among communities that would usually miss out.
The charity provides a publicly accessible research and learning hub for anyone interested in the exploration and proliferation of art and drawing.
