Vauxhall City Farm
First developed in the early 1970s as a peaceful community space, Vauxhall City Farm has always been a place of simple, natural living.
In the beginning, local people grew fruit and vegetables and eventually went on care for livestock.
The project only got stronger and in 1977 became a registered charity that worked towards developing an understanding of nature and the environment for London residents.
Now, it offers urban communities a chance to experience the countryside completely free of charge and hosts a number of different community projects, including riding classes for the disabled, educational programmes and animal therapy sessions.
